Our Mission
The Edinburgh Group draws on fresh thinking, academic training and dedication to enable non-profit organisations to achieve their missions.
We believe that helping non-profit organisations with business challenges is a unique way to impact the community with sustainable results.
Our Values
The values that underpin TEG's work include:
Passion - Shared dedication to our clients and social change
Professionalism - Ensuring high professional standards whilst engaging in quality projects
Initiative - Taking individual action and creating partnerships to maximise our impact
Our History
Whilst studying at the University of California, Berkeley, our President had the unique opportunity to engage with non-profit organisations through consulting. She thought that The Berkeley Group model would benefit both students and the wider community back in Edinburgh. Along with two other undergraduate students, she established the first sister organisation to the Berkeley Group, The Edinburgh Group.
Our Operations
TEG assigns consulting teams to engage in semester-long projects with our selected clients. We conduct weekly training sessions to support our teams. TEG's model utilises many different partners and resources that allow us to deliver high quality recommendations. These include the School of Management and Economics, advising professors, postgraduate students, alumni, practising industry professionals and diverse non-profit staff and board members. We are constantly active in seeking new partners and extending our network of resources.
